When I speak to family or friends about my position at NES it is always with a smile and positive words. My job is truly satisfying and my co-workers are caring professionals. The daily contact I have with NES Branch Managers and Drivers is very rewarding. I have worn several different hats during my tenure at NES, but my current position suits me best. The Safety/DOT Compliance Department here is made up of a great group of skilled people who work together to help keep our company on the right track. The employees I serve are the best in the industry and are as dedicated to their positions as I am. I look forward to working with them for many years to come.

In August 2008, I was scheduled to deliver a 120’ boom to a customer. After discussing the intended application with the customer on-site, I determined that leaving the boom there would pose a huge safety risk for the customer and for NES. I called my office to tell them that I was not unloading the lift from the truck. The customer was not very happy, but I knew in my gut that based on the steep and unstable conditions of the job site, it was a disaster waiting to happen. Shortly after my decision not to deliver the equipment, I received a call from my District Manager thanking me for what I did. It meant a lot to me to know that management supported my decision to put my safety and our customer’s safety ahead of a rental opportunity. This is one of many reasons why I know that I’m part of a great organization with NES Rentals.

I started with NES when they opened in Plattsburgh, NY, as an Admin Assistant. Since then, I have worked in various positions at the branch and I enjoy coming to work everyday! Our team is like an extended family.
NES has great customers and I am excited by the challenge of pulling everything together to meet their needs. With the continued support of management and my branch team, I look forward to working for NES until my retirement.

I have been working at the Savannah branch of NES Rentals for almost three years now and there is no doubt in my mind that it really is a great company to work for. NES does a great job of recruiting employees who understand that it takes a team effort to deliver safe equipment that meets the customer’s needs in a timely manner. Our branches have similar goals, so when a company is able to get their employees all on the same page, it makes everyone’s job that much easier. NES is focused on keeping employees and customers as safe as possible, which is very rare. The people I work with and the assistance the company offers employees during times of hardship and natural disasters make NES a great place to work!

NES Rentals strength comes from a dynamic culture that allows for collaboration across departments. Not many companies have the trust or confidence to allow their employees to view financial data and work behind the scenes to improve the company and the services we provide to our customers. Ultimately, all employees need to feel that they make a difference and that their employer respects their opinions. NES fosters an environment that achieves this with our awards and recognition programs, Net Promoter Score program, and the positive support from management for a job well done. NES nurtures an ownership mentality in its employees which makes it a great company to work for!

The people – from senior management to the shop mechanics – are the reason that I choose to work at NES.
No matter what the challenges are, the entire company comes together and asks "What do we need to do to get through this?" The teamwork and pride that is prevalent at NES is what sets us apart from our competitors. We are pushed to do our best, listened to when we voice our opinions and praised when we accomplish our goals.
This is an industry where things change hourly. To have such a unique group of people in my branch (and district) that work together effectively under these circumstances, is very rewarding.
